Radio

Bryon got his start in radio in December 1998 with an internship with the Chris and Dana Morning Show on KISS 106.1 in Seattle. On his first day, host Chris Collins gave Bryon his on-air moniker: Huggy Bear. Unfortunately for Bryon, it stuck. Bryon would later become the Morning Show Producer.

In 2002, Bryon was hired by competing Seattle station MIX 92.5 to serve as Morning Show Producer for the long-running Murdock, Hunter and Alice in the Morning. Bryon's on-air presence was heightened with inclusion in promotions, interviews, parodies and remotes.

In January 2004, Bryon would remain with MIX 92.5 during a change in morning show talent to The Mitch and Lisa Morning Show. Mitch Elliott and Lisa Foster would again include Bryon on-air often in bits and promotions.

In October 2004, Bryon was offered the chance to host his own morning show on a country station in Billings, MT. "Bryon and Bru in the Morning" aired on THE WOLF 98.5. Bryon was teamed with longtime Billings personality Matt Brubaker.

In 2006, Bryon was wooed to Bend, Oregon to co-host "Larry and Bryon in the Morning" on THE PEAK 104.1. In 2008, Larry would be replaced by Dave Clemens, who was hosting the afternoon show. Dave and Bryon would enjoy ratings success and notoriety in Central Oregon including being voted "Best Radio Personalities" by The Source newspaper and helping to earn the distinction of "Oregon Radio Station of the Year" awarded by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters. In 2010, Bryon resigned from the morning show to accomodate his position as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church. However, Bryon is still on-air hosting the Afternoon Drive weekdays 2pm to 7pm.

Throughout his career, Bryon has had his share of uniques experiences from stock car racing to reporting on the red carpet of American Idol and Survivor. In 2003, Bryon spent 2 weeks traveling around western Washington for Operation: Cookie Drop, collecting more than 10,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies that were later sent to the troops serving overseas.
